What is the Eco Stove?
The Ecostoof® is the old hay box with a whole new look. In the Ecostoof® you can cook dishes without the use of gas or electricity. The food is tastier because it cooks at a lower temperature. Cooking in the Ecostoof is simple and makes cooking easier.

How does it work?
Cook the food that you want to cook in the Ecostoof® 5-10 well.
Then place the pan with lid in the Ecostoof® and tighten the cord. Allow about 1/3 more cooking time. Fill the pan for at least half to keep it warm.

You can use the Ecostoof for example at:
Rice: Add 1 cup of rice and 1 1/4 cup of water to the pan. Boil the water with the rice. Remove from the gas after five minutes and place in the Ecostoof®. The rice is ready after about 20 minutes.
Solid-boiling potatoes : Boil the potatoes in plenty of water. Place the pan with lid in the Eco-oven and the potatoes are ready after 45 minutes.
Stewed meat : Start by searing the meat and frying the so-called bouguet (mixture of vegetables, hard herbs and spices). The baking is finished with wine, beer or a soft vinegar such as balsamic vinegar. Enrich the dish with for example wine, beer, stock or broth. You then place the dish in the Ecostoof®. After three hours, reheat the dish to 90 degrees and then place it again in the Ecostoof ® for three hours.
Vegetarian stews , first fry the vegetable mixes, then extinguish with water and seasonings, bring to the boil again and place in the Ecostoof®. It can be a bit shorter than with meat; 30-60 minutes is sufficient.
Pasta sauces : for example bolognaise sauce, fry the minced meat, add the herbs and vegetables and tomatoes, bring it back to the boil and put the dish in the Ecostoof® for at least 30 minutes. Longer is tastier.
The cooking of lentil beans, chickpeas and other dishes that would otherwise have to cook or soak for a long time: cook five minutes and then three hours in the Ecostoof®. Reheat if necessary.
Eating at outdoor activities such as camping and picnics
The Ecostoof is made mainly of linen and pure sheep wool. Both materials have a low environmental impact during production, unlike cotton (source: Milieu Centraal). In the bottom there is a bubble wrap with three layers of reflective foil. Inside the Ecostoof is another reflective polyester lining. This combination is an optimum of heat-insulating and reflective properties. The Eco-stoves are produced in the Netherlands.
The Ecostoof is filled with real sheep’s wool. You can wash the Ecostoof in the washing machine with a wool program at a maximum of 30 degrees. Do not spin. It is recommended to place a tea towel under the bottom of the pan so that the Ecostoof® stays clean longer.
The linen cover of the Eco-oven can withstand high temperatures. You can place a pan of the fire in just like that. The Ecostoof is not suitable for temperatures well above 100 degrees, for example deep-frying pans.
